| Obverse description | The face is printed in olive-brown tones, with the denomination numeral '50 CENTAVOS' in a guilloche-framed cartouche at left and a matching ornamental rosette at right. At centre, a circular blue seal of the Banco Nacional Ultramarino (Lisboa branch) bears a steamship vignette, flanked by the text 'LOURENÇO MARQUES' above and the date '5 de Novembro de 1914' below; the serial number appears twice. Two signature lines for the Vice-Governor and Governor are printed in the lower margin. |
