Aanvullende informatie

Cabinda is an Angolan exclave separated from the mainland by a strip of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and it has maintained a low-level independence movement since before Angola's own independence in 1975. The Frente para a Libertação do Enclave de Cabinda has periodically issued fantasy currency — including this piece — as a political assertion of sovereignty. No Banco de Cabinda exists as a recognized monetary authority.

The X# prefix in the Krause catalog denotes a non-circulating or fantasy issue, and this coin never saw use as legal tender by any functioning government.
