Obverse description The Honduran national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a simplified pyramid without clouds, flanked by a dense arrangement of symbolic elements including trees, a quiver of arrows, and crossed cannons at the base. The shield is encircled by an oval band bearing the national motto and date of independence. The legend REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS arcs along the upper periphery, while the date 1967 appears prominently in the lower field beneath the arms. The coin's rim is decorated with a continuous beaded border.
