| Obverse description | The obverse is laid out in a letterpress format with a decorative border of repeating ornamental units enclosing the entire design. At left, the circular seal of the Commonwealth of the Philippines is printed in blue ink, bearing the eagle and shield device. The central text block carries the authority and redemption legend, with the denomination FIFTY CENTAVOS set in bold, and a serial number in red to its right; the names of the board Chairman and Members, along with a manuscript signature, appear at lower left. |
