Opmerkingen

Angola's 1921 fractional issues were a direct response to a chronic shortage of small-denomination coinage across Portuguese colonial territories in the early 1920s. The metropolitan government repeatedly failed to ship adequate coin supplies, and paper fractionals became the practical substitute — a stopgap that outlasted several attempts to resolve the underlying supply problem.

Pick 62 belongs to a broader family of Angolan emergency fractionals from this period, several of which are genuinely difficult to source in any presentable condition given their low face value, rough handling, and the disposable regard with which circulating populations typically treated sub-unit notes.
