Printed entirely in green on cream paper, the reverse carries a central vignette of an American bald eagle in profile facing left, wings spread, set within a curved banner bearing the place and date 'MANILA, P.I. SEPT. 22 1917'. A broad curved guilloche band arches above the eagle bearing the bank name, while a lower curved ribbon carries the denomination and note type. The four corners each bear the '50¢' denomination within ornamental cartouches. |
