备注

The Banco Comercial de Corrientes was one of several provincial banks operating in Argentina's interior during the 1860s, issuing their own paper currency at a time when Buenos Aires had not yet consolidated monetary control over the provinces. Corrientes, a northeastern province with strong commercial ties to Paraguay and the Río de la Plata trade routes, had particular motivation to maintain its own circulating medium — the Paraguayan War (1864–1870) was actively disrupting regional commerce during this note's issue year.

Provincial issues of this period are notoriously fragile survivors. Many were redeemed and destroyed as national banking legislation tightened through the 1870s and 1880s.
