Obverse description Cast copper cash coin featuring the four-character reign inscription 咸豐重寶 (Xianfeng Zhongbao) arranged in the traditional cross pattern around a central square hole, read clockwise from top: 咸 (top), 重 (right), 寶 (bottom), 豐 (left). The bold, regular-script (kaishu) characters are deeply cast in high relief against a flat field. The coin's broad rim frames the design with typical Qing dynasty cash coin proportions befitting a large-denomination issue.
