Obverse description Round cast brass coin with a central square hole, as typical of Qing dynasty cash coinage. Four Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu) are arranged in cruciform fashion around the central perforation: 咸豐重寶 (Xianfeng Zhongbao), reading top-bottom-right-left. The characters are rendered in bold, well-defined relief against a flat, unadorned field, with no additional decorative elements. The rim is plain and slightly raised.
