| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse likewise centres on a square perforation flanked on the left and right by two vertical Manchu script characters reading 'Boo-ji' (ᠪᠣᠣ ᠵᡳ), the Manchu transcription of the Board of Revenue mint name in Beijing. Immediately above the central hole appears the single Chinese character 當 (dang, meaning 'equal to' or 'valued at'), while below are the two Chinese characters 五十 (wushi, 'fifty'), collectively expressing the denomination of fifty cash. All legends are cast in crisp, high relief against a plain field, consistent with Board of Revenue production standards for this denomination. |
