| Beschrijving voorzijde | Cast copper cash coin centred on a square central perforation, around which four large Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu) are arranged in the traditional cross pattern, read top-to-bottom and right-to-left. The legend 咸豐重寶 (Xianfeng Zhongbao) identifies the reign era of the Xianfeng Emperor and denotes a heavy-denomination currency piece. The boldly raised characters fill the field generously, separated by the inner rim of the square hole, with a plain raised outer rim bounding the flat, unadorned field. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is similarly centred on the square perforation and carries a trilingual legend in three scripts. Two Chinese characters 當 (Dang, meaning 'worth') appear above the square hole and 十五 (Shi Wu, 'fifteen', indicating the denomination of 50 cash) below. To the right of the hole appears the Chagatai/Old Uyghur Arabic-script word كاشغر (Kashgar), and to the left the Manchu script word ᡴᠠᠰᡥᡤᠠᡵ (Kasigara), both identifying the Kashgar mint. The multilingual format reflects the administrative conventions of the Qing Empire in Xinjiang, with a plain raised outer rim enclosing the unornamented field. |
