正面描述	The obverse is printed in purple and violet tones on a light guilloche underprint. At right, an intaglio vignette portrays Melchor Pérez de Holguín, the colonial Bolivian painter, in period dress with a wide-brimmed hat, his name captioned below. The centre carries the large bold legends CINCUENTA BOLIVIANOS flanked by the numeral 50 at lower left, with the Bolivian coat of arms rendered in an ornate circular vignette at centre-left. The issuer title BANCO CENTRAL DE BOLIVIA appears across the top, accompanied by a law reference inscription, and two facsimile signatures of bank officials are printed below the coat of arms.

A detailed architectural vignette at centre depicts the Torre de la Compañía in Potosí, captioned TORRE DE LA COMPAÑÍA below the image, rendered with fine intaglio line work that emphasises the ornate Baroque façade. The issuer name BANCO CENTRAL DE BOLIVIA runs across the top, the denomination numeral 50 appears at upper right and lower left corners, and the legend CINCUENTA BOLIVIANOS is printed along the bottom margin.
