At centre-right, an intaglio vignette presents a portrait of Melchor Pérez de Holguín, the colonial Baroque painter, wearing a wide-brimmed hat, with his name inscribed below. The numeral '50' appears at upper left and lower right, flanking the central text 'CINCUENTA BOLIVIANOS' in large letterpress.
