附加信息

Croatia declared independence in April 1941 under the Ustaše regime, and the new state moved quickly to establish its own currency infrastructure. These pattern pieces were struck to test proposed coinage for the Independent State of Croatia, but the 50 banica denomination never entered circulation — the occupied wartime economy relied heavily on the kuna notes issued by the Croatian State Bank rather than small silver coin.

Viscevic catalogues this as S19, suggesting a very small number of confirmed survivors from what was almost certainly a minimal striking.
