| Obverse description | The obverse features a dynamic commemorative composition set against a polished field. At centre, a figure raises a hand displaying a victory sign, rendered in high relief, with a large stylised Romanian tricolor flag occupying the left portion of the field; the flag's central hole — a symbol of the 1989 Revolution, when the communist coat of arms was excised — is prominently depicted.
