Reverse description The Romanian royal coat of arms, featuring a quartered shield supported by two rampant lions and surmounted by a royal crown, occupies the central field. A ribbon banner beneath the shield bears the motto NIHIL SINE DEO. The date 18 81 is divided on either side of the shield, with the Vienna mint mark V positioned below left. The denomination 50 BANI appears in the lower exergual area, and the legend ROMANIA arches along the upper periphery. A beaded border frames the entire composition.
