| 正面描述 | Central field features the national emblem of Oman — a khanjar dagger overlaid on two crossed swords — set within an inner beaded circle. The denomination '50 BAISA' appears to the left of the emblem in Latin script, with '٥٠ بيسة' in Arabic to the right. The Arabic legend 'قابوس بن سعيد' and 'سلطنة عمان' arc across the upper field outside the inner circle, while 'SULTANATE OF OMAN' curves along the lower portion. The Hijri year '١٤٣٧هـ' is inscribed above the emblem and the Gregorian year '2015' below it, all enclosed within a decorative rope-pattern border. |

Qaboos bin Said came to power in 1970 by deposing his own father, Said bin Taimur, in a bloodless palace coup backed by the British government, who had grown frustrated with the old sultan's deliberate isolation of Oman from modernization. National Day commemoratives under Qaboos were issued with some regularity, tying the mint program directly to the legitimacy of his rule rather than to any monetary necessity. This 2015 piece marks the 45th anniversary of his accession.
