Obverse description The national emblem of Oman occupies the central field, depicting two crossed khanjar daggers overlaid by a traditional Omani belt, rendered in high relief. The emblem is flanked by the Arabic legend reading 'Qabus bin Sa'id, Sultan of Oman', arranged around the periphery with the ruler's name at the top and the title below. A fine denticled border frames the entire design. The composition is bold and heraldic in style, characteristic of Gulf state coinage of the period.
