Opmerkingen

Issued to mark the fiftieth wedding anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit in April 2000, this commemorative 50 Baht was one of several special-issue notes released by the Bank of Thailand during the late 1990s and early 2000s to honor royal milestones — a practice the bank had developed into a fairly consistent tradition by that point.

The watermark is the sole listed security feature, modest by the standards of circulating Thai notes from the same period, which typically carried more elaborate protections. Printed in-house at the Bank of Thailand Note Printing Works, which has handled domestic production since 1969.
