The Sociedade Numismática Paranaense, based in Curitiba, Paraná, issued this commemorative note marking the society's 25th anniversary. The araucária — the Paraná pine — gives the denomination its name, a regional unit with no exchange value but used within the club's own trading activities among members. The "2nd Print" designation indicates a second production run was necessary, suggesting the first edition was exhausted by demand from collectors within the society's network.
