Rwanda has become one of the more prolific issuers of themed legal-tender collector silver in sub-Saharan Africa, its national bank licensing designs with no domestic historical connection as a revenue mechanism — this USS Constitution piece is squarely in that category. The ship itself was launched in Boston in 1797 and remains the world's oldest commissioned naval vessel still afloat, technically still on active duty in the U.S. Navy.
