Obverse description The seal of Da Afghanistan Bank occupies the upper centre, incorporating a stylised representation of an Eucratides I-era coin (171–145 BC) with a cornucopia motif at its front. The seal is set against an intricate guilloche underprint with traditional Afghan ornamental border patterns framing the design on all sides. Denomination numerals appear at lower corners, with bank title inscriptions in Dari script.

Reverse description A central intaglio vignette presents the Darul Aman Palace near Kabul, rendered in fine line engraving against a light guilloche underprint in tones of green and yellow. The neoclassical palace structure is set among trees, with ornate arabesque scrollwork framing the lower border. The bank name "Da Afghanistan Bank" appears in Latin script across the top, with the denomination "50" in Arabic-Indic numerals at upper left and right, and "50 ARGHANIS" in Latin script at lower right.
