| Obverse description | Multicolour letterpress print in brown, blue, and yellow. A vignette of a flock of sheep grazing occupies the left portion of the note, while a group of camels is placed at right. Chinese text runs right to left throughout, and square seal-script overprints appear across the face. |

| Reverse description | Printed entirely in blue, the reverse carries a dense guilloche underprint with an elaborate floral rosette cartouche at centre, within which Mongolian script text is set. Symmetrical ornamental panels flank the central vignette on both sides, and the denomination numeral 50000 appears in a rectangular panel at lower centre, with the year 1949 inscribed directly below. Red manuscript overprints and cancel perforations are present on this example. |
