Above the gate, the official emblem of the 1988 Seoul Olympics — a stylized Taeguk spiral motif — is depicted alongside the five interlocked Olympic rings. The encircling legend reads XXIV OLYMPIAD SEOUL 1988 along the upper periphery, while the denomination 50000 WON is inscribed in large letters along the lower rim. |
