| Obverse description | At center, the Mongolian national emblem (Soyombo), comprising the Soyombo symbol surmounted by a flame, flanked by two rearing dragons and encircled by a radiating sunburst, all rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The denomination '50 000' appears in the upper legend in Traditional Mongolian script to the left, with 'MONGOLIA' running vertically at right. The inscription '5 OZ 9999 GOLD' appears in the lower exergue. The coin is bordered by an intricate meander (Greek key) decorative pattern around the entire rim. |
