Beschrijving keerzijde A finely detailed rabbit in full gallop is depicted in high relief at center, rendered with naturalistic fur texture and prominent whiskers, facing left across a rocky ground. Surrounding the animal are sprigs of bamboo, flowering plants, and grasses, evoking a traditional East Asian artistic style. In the upper field, the year '1999' appears to the left of a traditional Mongolian script cartouche, accompanied by Chinese characters denoting the Year of the Rabbit. The denomination '50 000 TUGRIKS' is inscribed in two lines along the lower field in Latin script.

Aanvullende informatie

Issued to mark the Year of the Rabbit in the Mongolian lunar calendar cycle, this is among the heaviest gold issues Mongolia produced in the late 1990s — a period when the Bank of Mongolia was aggressively entering the international bullion and numismatic markets to generate hard currency. At 155.52 grams, it corresponds to the five-troy-ounce standard favored by several Asian mints for prestige lunar series during that decade.
