Popis líce	The central vignette presents a portrait of Vasco da Gama (c. 1460–1524), the Portuguese navigator renowned as the first European to reach India by sea, flanked by sailing ship vignettes within an ornamental guilloche border. The issuing bank's title and the Luanda branch payability clause appear in letterpress above and below the principal design, with the denomination stated in full across the lower register. Guilloche underprint work frames and integrates the compositional elements throughout the face.
