| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse is printed in dark blue-grey over a pale ground entirely covered by an intricate guilloche underprint of interlocking Celtic-style knots, stylised floral rosettes, and repeating geometric panels in a grid arrangement, with the denomination '50000 Mark' set in bold letterpress vertically along both the left and right margins. A serial number appears at the top centre, below which the large Gothic-script legend 'Fünfzigtausend Mark' occupies the upper register, followed by two lines of Gothic text stating the redemption obligation of the Amt Wanne. The date 'Wanne, den 21. August 1923' is placed at the lower left, with the issuing authority designation 'Der Amtmann' above a manuscript signature at the lower right, and a circular official seal of the Amt Wanne bearing an eagle struck at lower centre-left. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse carries the same all-over guilloche underprint of interlaced knot-work and floral rosette panels as the obverse, rendered in a darker grey-black tone. At centre, an oval portrait vignette contains a three-quarter facing bust of an unidentified elderly male dignitary in formal attire, executed in fine letterpress, surmounted by a decorative bow with crossed laurel sprigs and a ribbon banner reading 'Notgeld WANNE'. The denomination '5000 Mk.' is repeated in large bold letterpress vertically along both the left and right margins. |
