Additional information

Laos has issued lunar-themed bullion and collector silver with increasing regularity since the mid-2000s, positioning these releases primarily for the Southeast and East Asian collector market rather than domestic circulation. The Dragon is the most commercially successful lunar subject across the region, and most mints — including those contracted by the Bank of the Lao PDR — schedule production well in advance to meet demand from distributors in China, Vietnam, and Thailand.

KM#250 is a modern minted piece with no meaningful circulation history.
