| Obverse description | Central field depicts a detailed frontal view of Pha That Luang (the Great Stupa of Vientiane), the national symbol of Laos, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished black field. The stupa's characteristic tapering spire rises prominently at center, flanked by subsidiary stupas and the surrounding temple wall with its ceremonial gateway. The legend 'BANK OF THE LAO PDR' arcs along the upper periphery in large Latin characters. The fineness mark 'Ag 925' appears vertically on the left field, the Moscow Mint monogram (ММД) is positioned to the right, and the denomination '50000 KIP' together with the date '• 2023 •' are inscribed along the lower periphery. |
