| Obverse description | Central field depicts the Pha That Luang stupa in Vientiane, rendered in fine relief with its distinctive multi-tiered golden spire and surrounding smaller stupas above an ornate gateway. The legend 'Bank of the LAO PDR' curves along the upper rim in Latin script, with the fineness mark 'Ag 925' inscribed vertically at the left.
