Beschrijving voorzijde Against a highly polished black field, the upper portion of the obverse features a detailed relief depiction of Pha That Luang, the iconic golden stupa of Vientiane, rendered in silver with fine architectural detail. The curved legend 'Bank of the LAO PDR' arcs above the stupa. To the left, the denomination '50 000 Kip' is inscribed in the field, while 'Ag 925' appears to the right alongside the Moscow Mint privy mark. The lower half of the coin displays a coloured panoramic vignette combining a mountain landscape with a lake on the left and the modernist circular hotel complex of the Manzherok resort on the right, with a coloured conifer tree at its centre. The Cyrillic logotype 'МАН⁂ЕРОК' with a stylised snowflake motif and a row of five stars appears in the lower field.

Aanvullende informatie

Laos issued commemorative silver well before establishing stable domestic bullion markets, and the Bank of the Lao PDR has long relied on foreign minting contracts — primarily with the Bavarian State Mint and occasionally with Pobjoy — to produce collector issues that never circulate domestically. The 50,000 kip denomination exists almost entirely as a notional face value; at any realistic exchange rate, it represents a fraction of the coin's silver content.
