| Reverse description | A faithful reproduction of the reverse of the first gold florin struck under King Albert presents a full-length standing figure of Saint Ladislaus, depicted facing, holding a halberd in his right hand and an orb in his left, in the hieratic style characteristic of medieval Hungarian florin coinage. To either side of the figure appears the H-lamb mint and mint-master mark combination, the H denoting the mint at Szeben (Sibiu) and the lamb serving as the personal emblem of chamberlain János Lemmel. The legend ALBERT 1437-1439 ARANYFORINTJA arcs around the periphery in Latin characters. |
