| Reverse description | Printed in olive-green, the reverse is dominated by a large central medallion with an ornate interlocking "$" monogram within a multi-layered guilloche rosette, flanked on each side by subsidiary denomination panels each bearing "50,000" within elaborate lathe-work borders. The legend "DOMINION OF CANADA" runs across the upper register within a scrollwork banner, and "FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS" appears in the lower margin. The overall design relies entirely on complex engine-turned geometric patterning with no pictorial vignette. |
