To the right, an intaglio vignette reproduces Martín Tovar y Tovar's 1875 portrait of statesman and physician José María Vargas, while the left margin is reserved as a watermark zone; adjacent to this zone, two superimposed triangles printed in Optically Variable Ink (OVI) serve as a primary security element. |
