A small rearing horse vignette — the heraldic symbol of Westphalia — is positioned centrally below the text block, flanked by the issuer's payment obligation in roman type and the date "Münster i/w., am 20. September 1923". A bold black banner at the foot bears the inscription "WESTFÄLISCHES NOTGELD" in white capitals, with the guarantee clause below, and the entire design is framed by a purple border carrying the denomination legend on all four sides. |

| Popis rubu | The reverse, printed in purple on a cream guilloche underprint, is divided into two compositional zones: to the left, a diamond-shaped vignette encloses a left-facing portrait bust of Freiherr vom Stein, the Prussian statesman, set within a geometric latticework frame with a circular inscription around the portrait. To the right, the denomination "50 Millionen Mark" is rendered in large Gothic script above the issuer designation "Westfälisches Notgeld" and the guarantee clause. The same border legend encircling the full note repeats the denomination and provincial guarantee text on all four sides. |
