| Obverse description | Printed in purple and black on a cream-coloured guilloche underprint, the obverse carries the large bold numeral "50" at top centre in black letterpress, beneath which the denomination "Millionen Mark" appears in ornate Gothic script. A small rearing horse vignette — the heraldic symbol of Westphalia — is positioned centrally below the text block, flanked by the issuer's payment obligation in roman type and the date "Münster i/w., am 20. September 1923". A bold black banner at the foot bears the inscription "WESTFÄLISCHES NOTGELD" in white capitals, with the guarantee clause below, and the entire design is framed by a purple border carrying the denomination legend on all four sides. |
