| 正面描述 | Notgeld issued 15 September 1923, printed in purple and ochre on plain paper, with a decorative guilloche border incorporating quatrefoil corner ornaments and a wavy frame. At left, a vertical panel carries the denomination figure '50 000 000' within an elaborate interlaced oval guilloche vignette; to the right, the numeral '50 000 000' appears as an orange underprint across the upper field alongside a serial number, beneath which the Gothic-script heading 'Notgeld' is set over the issuing authority text and the large denomination legend 'Fünfzig Millionen Mark' in bold letterpress. The lower portion bears the place and date of issue, three signature blocks representing the Kreisausschuss and the two municipal Magistrate offices, with six manuscript signatures appended. |

| 备注 |
One of hundreds of Notgeld emergency issues produced during the hyperinflation peak of late 1923, this 50-million-Mark note was issued jointly by Landkreis Recklinghausen and the municipalities of Recklinghausen and Buer — a practical administrative arrangement that spread the liability and logistical burden across multiple local authorities. The Ruhr occupation by French and Belgian forces from January 1923 had severely disrupted normal currency supply from the Reichsbank, forcing regional and municipal bodies throughout the occupied zone to fill the gap themselves.
By the time 50-million-Mark denominations were necessary, the inflation had already rendered notes issued weeks earlier essentially worthless.
