| 正面描述 | The obverse is printed in dark brown on pale green paper, with large numeral '50' at both left and right corners flanking a central oval vignette of the Reichskammergericht building in Wetzlar (1693–1806), rendered in fine line engraving and captioned below the vignette. The denomination 'MILLIONEN MARK' is set in bold letterpress across the centre, beneath which the payment text and date 'Wetzlar, den 18. September 1923' appear in Gothic script, with a red serial number at lower left and the facsimile signature of the Bürgermeister at lower right. Radiating sunburst ornaments decorate the lower corners, and the printer's imprint 'SCHARFES DRUCKEREIEN WETZLAR' appears at the foot of the note. |

| 备注 |
Wetzlar's municipal treasury issued this 50-million-Mark note during the absolute peak of Weimar hyperinflation — by late 1923, denominations in the tens of millions were becoming obsolete almost immediately upon printing. Local authorities across Germany were legally empowered under emergency decree to issue their own Notgeld when the Reichsbank could not supply notes fast enough to meet daily wage demands. The Stadtkasse notes were stopgap instruments, often printed on whatever paper stock was locally available.
Scharfes Druckereien was a local Wetzlar press, not a specialist security printer, which shows in the relatively simple execution typical of municipal emergency issues.
