| Obverse description | Brown-toned notgeld on cream paper with an elaborate guilloche border composed of rosette corner ornaments and interlaced latticework framing the entire face. A large central oval underprint of fine cross-hatching carries the bold denomination '50 Millionen Mark' in heavy letterpress, surmounted by the series designation 'SERIE B' at the top. Below the denomination, a two-line payment text, the issue place and date 'Remscheid, den 11. August 1923', and the authorising title 'Der Oberbürgermeister' with a manuscript signature appear within the oval; a red serial number with asterisk is printed at the foot. |
