| Opmerkingen |
The Republika Srpska issued its own currency during the Bosnian War as a parallel monetary authority to the rump Yugoslav dinar system — this denomination reflects the hyperinflationary spiral that consumed the region in 1993, the same year Yugoslavia's own inflation reached among the highest rates ever recorded in monetary history. Printing was handled locally in Banja Luka, which was unusual; most wartime Serbian-aligned notes relied on Belgrade facilities.
At 50 million dinara, this was not an exceptional face value for the period — notes climbed far higher within months.
