A winged wheel emblem — the symbol of the Deutsche Reichsbahn — is centred below the denomination text. The right border carries a vertical dark panel with the numeral '50 Milliarden' in Gothic script, and the upper portion bears the issuer title 'Reichsbahndirektion Stuttgart' with a serial number and series designation ('Reihe 1') above a block of redemption text in smaller Fraktur type, concluding with the date 'Stuttgart, den 23.
