| Obverse description | Blue intaglio print on multicolored guilloche underprint. The central field carries the issuer name BANK POLSKI in a bold banner at top, with the denomination PIĘĆ ZŁOTYCH in large lettering below, and the date and place of issue WARSZAWA DNIA 15 SIERPNIA 1939 R. in the middle.
