Obverse description The obverse features the Polish state emblem — a crowned white eagle with wings spread and talons raised — struck in high relief within the aluminium bronze centre. The eagle is depicted in the traditional heraldic style, with a small mint mark (MW) visible in the lower field of the centre. The copper-nickel outer ring carries the legend 'RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA' arcing across the upper portion, with the denomination '5 ZŁOTYCH' along the lower arc, and the date '2017' positioned below the eagle in the centre.
