Obverse description The aluminium bronze centre features the Polish state eagle — the crowned White Eagle displayed with wings spread, rendered in high relief — set against a plain field. The date 2014 appears in the exergue below the eagle. The copper-nickel outer ring carries the circular legend 'RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA' along the upper arc and '• 5 ZŁOTYCH •' along the lower arc, all in raised Latin lettering. The mint mark 'mw' is incorporated discreetly within the design. The bimetallic composition creates a strong visual contrast between the gold-toned centre and the silver-toned ring.
