| 正面描述 | The Polish crowned white eagle displayed with spread wings occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with fine feather detail. The denomination numeral '5' appears to the left and right of the eagle's lower body, flanking its talons. Below the eagle, the legend 'ZŁOTYCH' is inscribed in bold capital letters, with the date '1928' in the exergue. The design is enclosed by a fine inner border with a beaded outer rim. |

Poland's interwar monetary reconstruction produced a remarkable number of trial strikes as the government and its contracted mints — principally Paris and Brussels — negotiated designs, alloys, and production costs through the late 1920s. This Nike essai belongs to that competitive process: multiple versions in varying compositions were submitted and evaluated before final specifications were locked for circulation coinage. The copper-nickel examples are among the more pragmatic trials, testing an alloy the Polish Mint ultimately did not adopt for this denomination.
KM#Pn319 is one of several pattern references clustered around the 1928 Nike 5 Złotych type, each differing in metal or striking detail.
