Obverse description Cast bronze cash coin with a central square perforation flanked by two Chinese seal-script characters reading right to left, 'Wu Zhu' (五銖, '5 Zhu'). The character '五' (Wu) appears to the right of the central hole and '銖' (Zhu) to the left, both rendered in low relief within the flat inner field. A raised rim borders the outer edge, and a raised square rim frames the central hole. The surfaces display characteristic Eastern Han casting texture with natural patination and some corrosion consistent with burial or extended circulation.
