The inscription 五銖 (wu zhu, 'five zhu') appears to have been deliberately filed or chiselled away on this face, leaving only faint traces in the field. A raised square rim borders the central hole, and a plain outer rim defines the coin's circular perimeter. The bronze surface displays a natural reddish-brown patina with traces of green cuprite oxidation. The minimalist design reflects the debased coinage practices of the late Han period. |

The absence of reverse lettering is a diagnostic feature of this Hartill 10.28 subtype, distinguishing it from standard Wu Zhu issues of the period. |
