To the left, a smaller scene in low relief shows a camel caravan with attendant figures, evoking her legendary journey along the Silk Road. To the right, a group of courtly attendants in Han costume stand beneath a ceremonial canopy, with a stylised mountain landscape rendered above them. The inscription 王昭君 西汉公元前(BC)一世纪 arcs around the upper border, identifying the subject and her historical period, while the denomination 5元 appears in the lower right field. The composition is executed in high-relief proof striking with mirror fields and frosted devices. |
