Opmerkingen

Teller training notes from the Bank of China occupy an oddly specific collecting niche. These pieces were produced for internal bank use — issued to branch staff learning to handle, authenticate, and process currency — and were never intended to leave the building. Survival depends almost entirely on whether individual branches bothered to destroy their stocks after the relevant series was retired from circulation, which many did not do systematically.

Overprinting or perforation marking practice notes varies by institution and period; some Bank of China training issues carry no cancellation at all, making provenance the only reliable indicator of their purpose.
